Following recent developments around Swiss watch movements availability as well as the general enthusiasm for YEMA’s Caliber MBP1000 (more than 250,000 in-house movements sold since 2011) YEMA has reinforced its efforts in innovation, research and development with as objective to secure its independence.
YEMA has again invested in the development of two new automatic watch movements which will be exclusive to the brand:
Our second-generation 3-hands in-house Caliber YEMA2000 is an evolution of the MBP1000 Caliber. Several components have been improved in order to achieve fundamental gains in terms of precision and durability.
YEMA has also developed an in-house GMT caliber in order to meet the growing demand for this type of movement. The new in-house Caliber YEMA3000 benefits from the improved YEMA2000 3-hands movement as a base with the addition of a GMT complication entirely developed by YEMA’s watchmakers team.
Designed, developed and assembled by our watchmakers in our Morteau (France) workshops, these second-generation in-house calibers combine manufacturing simplicity and efficiency offering great precision and reliability at a competitive price-quality ratio.
YEMA intends to put the new in-house calibers into production by early 2021. In order to finance the investments made during the research and prototyping phase and put into mass production the new in-house calibers, YEMA aims to crowdfund once again via KICKSTARTER by offering its fans the opportunity to acquire the first models equipped with the new in-house calibers at an advantageous price.

Each of the 2 models is proposed as a collector's Limited Edition of 1,948 timepieces regardless the choice of dial color and case size. Available for pre-order as from Thursday 15th October, 2020 at KICKSTARTER at an attractive promotional price. Shipping scheduled for February 2021.

Since 1948 YEMA designs sports watches specifically for Diving, Car Racing, Aviation and Sailing. Our workshops are based in the town of Morteau at the heart of France’s watch craftsmanship region, in a secluded valley in the Jura mountains just a few miles away from Switzerland’s La Chaux-de-Fonds. YEMA is run by a third generation watchmakers‘ family with a team averaging +30 years of service. Design, prototyping and assembling is manually and precisely taken care of at our workshops by highly experienced French traditional watchmakers.
